The BEKTAŞ 12 V gear pump is an RC fuel transfer pump used to fill and empty model aircraft fuel tanks. The same pump also delivers smoke oil in smoke systems.

Where is it used?
Use it as ground equipment with a battery and a switch, or build it into a refuelling station such as the NCAD Fuel Station 30L. It also works as a smoke pump inside the aircraft.

Which battery does it need? It runs on 12 V DC. At the field you can use a 3S LiPo, a lead-acid battery or a 12 V power supply.
Can it reverse? Reversing the polarity makes the pump run the other way, so the same RC fuel transfer pump fills and empties the tank. A simple direction switch is enough.
How is it used in a smoke system? The pump is fitted in the line between the smoke oil tank and the exhaust and switched from a receiver channel.
Can it run dry? Do not run it dry for long; the gears are lubricated by the fuel. Switch the pump off when the tank is empty.
