The balanced turbine compressor wheel is machined from Al 7075-T6 aluminium and delivered dynamically balanced. It replaces a damaged or worn wheel during micro jet engine overhaul.
Why must a turbine compressor wheel be balanced?
The compressor wheel spins at very high RPM; the smallest imbalance causes vibration, bearing wear and engine damage. That is why every turbine compressor wheel we supply is balance-checked and delivered with an inspection report.

- Made to order from a sample or a drawing
Made to order
If the wheel for your engine is no longer available, we can measure a sample and re-make it. After a wheel change, balance and bearings should also be checked; we do this as part of our RC jet engine service.
Turbine compressor wheel FAQ
How do I know my wheel is damaged? Scratches, nicks or bent blades, vibration that remains after ingesting debris and a drop in thrust are signs of compressor wheel damage.
How long does making one from a sample take? It depends on measurement, drawing, machining and balancing. We confirm the exact lead time after inspecting the sample.
Why Al 7075-T6? Its high strength-to-weight ratio withstands the centrifugal forces at high RPM, and it is widely used in aviation.
Who does the balancing? Every turbine compressor wheel is dynamically balanced in our workshop and the result is recorded in the inspection report.
